Connecting Families with Crucial Services
The Pennsylvania Office of Child Development and Early Learning promotes important educational support programs and services for Pennsylvania children and their families.
Challenge
The Pennsylvania Office of Child Development & Early Learning wanted to increase awareness and understanding of six important education support programs offered through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania that make a difference in the lives of children. The goal was to clearly and quickly communicate what each program is and how Pennsylvania families benefit from them. This would allow busy parents to understand what’s available to them without having to navigate pages of information on various websites.
Solution
JPL collaborated with the Pennsylvania Office of Child Development & Early Learning to define clear communication goals, key messages, benefits and calls-to-action for each video. To balance the informational nature of the videos, we created an attention-grabbing art direction that could be replicated across the set of videos in a way that brought cohesiveness without redundancy. The videos were created in English and Spanish to aid in the awareness and understanding of a diversity of families. By taking the program’s meaning and value to a more engaging video format, families can now quickly understand each program’s purpose, how it benefits them and how to take the next step in participating.
