As healthcare consumerism grew, PHC4 recognized the need to expand their audience beyond industry professionals to reach consumers. Our research revealed this timing aligned perfectly with changing consumer behavior, as baby boomers’ use of online healthcare review platforms had surged 38% since 2019. This shift indicated a growing appetite for digital healthcare information and drove our strategy to transform PHC4’s technical data into an accessible online resource for all Pennsylvanians.
Drawing inspiration from intuitive online shopping experiences, we developed a user-friendly interface featuring Pennsylvania-themed design elements and streamlined navigation tools. The site allows users to easily search reports by medical topic, illness or procedure. To enhance efficiency, we implemented an AI-powered tagging system that significantly reduces manual website maintenance, enabling the PHC4 team to focus on their core mission of creating impactful healthcare reports.
The redesigned website delivered impressive results, achieving a 70% increase in engagement with PHC4’s priority content. This significant improvement in user interaction demonstrated that our strategic approach to combining familiar e-commerce conventions with healthcare data successfully made complex information more accessible to Pennsylvania residents. The success of this project proves that technical health data can be presented in a way that engages and empowers consumers.
