Challenge

Trex realized the benefits of an employer brand to attract top talent. The company prides itself on building people-first workspaces that give back to the environment and communities they call home. They contacted JPL to capture creative assets of their newly constructed corporate headquarters and an existing manufacturing plant in Winchester, Virginia. Trex wanted to expand the strong creative coming from employer branding and bring it into all facets of internal and external communication where it was boosting employee engagement.

Solution

After creating Trex’s employer brand, JPL recognized the significant potential to raise the bar by strategically planning and producing a new library of assets. We captured photography, drone footage, and video interviews of Trex employees across manufacturing and professional roles who shared their perspectives on what differentiates Trex as an employer. Our work included capturing the Trex Transit bus in action, which offers free rides to Winchester manufacturing workers. This is a huge benefit for Trex employees. While onsite, our crew also pivoted to capture timely interviews with additional staff as the chance arose. We’re proud to see how our partnership with Trex is expanding beyond recruitment and elevating the impact of their internal and external communications.

…Really just (an) incredible job. I’m not sure we’ve ever had this quality of video in our library to use – and everyone here is really impressed. It’s really great work…lt’s shown everyone here why it’s worth investing (in creative assets).
