JPL

As part of its ongoing commitment to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion, JPL and its sister company, d’Vinci Interactive, have planned several initiatives to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community during Pride Month.

“We encourage our team members to take time this month and throughout the year to celebrate the diverse voices that make our agency strong,” said JPL and d’Vinci President & CEO Luke Kempski. “We want to ensure that our workplaces and our work reflect the perspectives of those who identify with the LGBTQ+ community,” he added.

JPL kicked off the Pride Month celebration by illuminating its building in rainbow colors, to help shine a light on the need for support and understanding. In addition, all team members will receive flower seeds to plant a garden with different colored flowers to celebrate the beauty of difference. Team members are encouraged to “grow their own kind of beautiful” and share photos of their garden.

Throughout Pride Month, team members will share information and stories on internal communication channels to help educate and inspire people to celebrate each other and be an ally to all. To continue the education, team members will learn more about the importance of Pride during monthly staff meetings.

JPL and d’Vinci adopted a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion statement that is shared with current and prospective team members and with every existing and potential new client. In addition, team members participate in a variety of diversity, equity and inclusion training and discussion sessions.

The companies also have deepened their community outreach to support underserved populations through in-kind donations and mentoring programs.

JPL and d’Vinci are committed to hiring professionals from diverse backgrounds and provide equal benefits for all employees regardless of their sexual orientation— including time off for adoption leave, maternity/paternity leave, health benefits, and pay.
